Why Did He Come?

Down from His Glory
William E. Booth-Clibborn

Down from His glory, ever living story,
My God and Savior came, and Jesus was His name;
Born in a manger to His own a stranger,
A man of sorrows, tears and agony!

What condescension, bringing us redemption,
That in the dead of night, not one faint hope in sight,
God gracious, tender laid aside His splendor,
Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul!

Without reluctance, flesh and blood His substance,
He took the form of man, revealed the hidden plan;
O glorious myst'ry sacrifice of Calv'ry!
And now I know He is the great "I AM"!

Refrain:
Oh how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!

Jr. Girls Update

We had such a wonderful time in class last night that I thought I would share. We have been doing one-on-ones with the girls and thought it would be fun for them to get to know us in the same way.

They all asked us several questions from our favorite food to why we go to Faith Baptist Church. The girls really loved that they had the chance to ask us questions.

Stacey and I each gave our testimonies as well. We wanted the girls to see that we also had to come to that point in our lives when we accepted that we were on our way to hell if we didn't accept Christ's free gift of salvation. We also talked about other areas where we surrendered to God - baptism, obedience, etc.

I love sharing with others what God has done in my life and hearing the stories of other people. Leave a comment to tell me what God has done for you!

Cancelled

Because of a winter storm, we had to cancel our slumber party. We are disappointed, but God knows all about it. He has other plans in store for us. I know that my immediate plan is to clean my apartment. :)

Thanks for your prayers. Please keep praying for our girls. God has great plans for them.
