Jeremy, The Hero

I invited my friend, Stacey, and her family over for supper tonight. I told them they could come if Jeremy grilled. My only grilling experience was trying to get the fire started and then giving up and cooking in the oven.

When they got here, Jeremy brought in his tools because, being the wonderful friend he is, he fixed my refrigerator doors!!! If you want to know about that see this post referring back to April Fool's Day.

So while he was doing that, he gave me grilling instructions and I grilled the meat with Stacey's help. The brats and hot dogs turned out great and I'm no longer afraid to grill. Thanks, Jeremy!!

Mr. Fix-it hard at work. He and JP went fishing after supper and both caught fish!

The new grilling professional hard at work.

Wow, I have only really grilled once, and it worked but boy was I nervous. I wasn't just cooking for myself and didn't want to be totally embarrassed. I should learn how to braai (BBQ) here but since I live in an apartment, where would I cook??? People do braai on their balconies but it is against the rules!! Oh well!!

Good job, Erin! Last summer my sister & I wanted to grill & her husband wasn't home. They have a gas grill & we were both afraid we would get blown up. After a phone call to Bren's g-pa & our dad I sent every one into the house, screwed up all my nerve, & put the lighter to the grill. You know what happened? It lit! And we grilled. Good times!

I had to give it back because it belonged to one of our volunteers. He had wanted to fix it earlier, but some certain maintenance men wouldn't let him. I had to be nice to him. Thanks again for your help. I think you should charge them BIG!!! Lynnae said they talked about switching it back again. I wouldn't be very happy.
