Cake Decorating

I am currently taking Course 3 in cake decorating being offered at my church. My friend, Laura, was interested in attending so we both decided to take the class. Personally, I am not one of those people that enjoys tedious tasks like crafts, stamping, scrapbooking, etc. I was a little skeptical as to whether I would enjoy it or not. Well...believe it or not - I do! Here are a couple pictures of cakes I've done. We are currently learning how to decorate with fondant. I personally like making cakes with the good old buttercream frosting better.

B-day cake for my friend, Kari

Hey Erin! Great cakes! My sister took similar courses and is now able to make wonderful wedding cakes for friends and family. Who knows? Maybe you'll open a little bakery sometime in the future.

Thanks for the phone call the other night! Unfortunately, I was out of town visiting my mom at the time. The weater kept me there another night, which consequently made me miss something I was looking forward to, but I'm not bitter. Anyway, we'll have to chat sometime soon...keep on frosting! Take care! (BTW, LOVING the blogs...isn't it so much fun!?!?!)

Erin,
You're such a joy to have in Cake Decorating Class! Your cakes look awesome.
I'm so glad you were concerned about our cat Nuisance. Next time you might want to keep the napkins to yourself!
See you at church,
Vicki and Tanya

Erin - I am so impressed! You're doing a fabulous job with the cakes. So you're going to come here and make me one for my birthday, right? I seriously would like to see you sometime soon. Any holes in your schedule? Maybe I could drive out?
